Kid Nation 4

Status Set I choose this word because they all kind of have to act as a mother or sister or brother some more than others. Morgan really helps people out and acts kind of there mother and is very sweet she works really hard. Others don't really work as hard.

Achieved Status I choose this word because they all work hard to try and achieve the gold star witch is worth 22,000 dollars so far 4 kids have got a gold star I think that Greg deserves one he has been working really hard and I hope he gets one. I think that he will get one soon if he keeps working hard for it.

Ascribed Status I choose this word because they have show downs to see who will be the upper class, merchants, cooks, and labors, who ever wins first gets to be the upper class and don't have to do anything and get paid one dollar, whoever finishes second gets to be the merchants they run the stores and get paid 75 cents, third place is the cooks they get paid 50 cents, then whoever is last is the labors and get paid 25 cents.

Kid Nation 2

Culture I choose this word because the kids have to kind of learn a new culture. They have to learn how to get along with people they don't agree with and sometimes they don't like. They have to do things they don't want to do or like. Sometimes they don't agree on the things they have to do. They had to kill chickens one night for dinner and some of the kids did not agree with that at all but most did.

Society I choose this word because the kids are living in a society together. They have to do things to make the town work. They also live in the same area and have to share common things but they have there differences. Like when they don't agree with something but at the end they have to all come to an agreement of deal with it.

Morals I choose this word because they have rules. like they have to go to bed at a certain time now witch I think is good because some of them where staying up way to late and not wanting to get up I the morning and do there jobs. They also have to do certain jobs witch is also good because if they didn't they wouldn't have the things they needed.

Poorest President

The president of Uruguay only makes $12,500 and he donates 90% to charity and he only keeps $1,250. I think that it is really awesome of him to do that because he already makes hardly any money and he still gives to charity. I know if I was him I probably wouldn't do that so I think he's a good man. Because our president makes way more and doesn't give away that much to charity.

Kid Nation 3

Total Institutions I choose this word because the kids are separated into different groups. They are away from there families. They have to stay and live in this town to build it. I think that they are doing a really good job of that. I wouldn't want to be there so I think that its good that they can be away from home.

Anticipatory Socialization I choose this word because they kind of knew what to bring they knew to bring. Hats, jackets and other warm cloths. So that they where kind of prepared for being in the town. They knew that it was going to be cold they knew that they had to leave behind there electronics and that they'd have no T.V

Socialization I choose this word because they have to learn how to adapt to a new town and new people. They have to behave and get along with people they don't like to make the town work. Sometimes they don't get along and they fight but they work it out in the end. Witch is good because they need to get along to build this town. I think that they are doing a better job of getting along then they where in the begging.

Easter

This Easter was my nieces first Easter. It was a lot of fun to help her look for her Easter eggs. We went to my grandmas house with all my other family. We have three different Easter egg hunts. One is for the kids one is for the older kids and one is for the parents. We get money in side the eggs I got twenty dollars. My sister and her boyfriend each found one and got ten. I had a lot of fun because right now there is a lot of babies in my family. I cant wait for the next holiday.

Kid Nation

    Sociology- I choose sociology because they are in big groups and not individuals. They have to work together to cook, work, clean and to do everything. They have to try there best to get along so that can make it work. If they fight to much there are not going to be able to save the town like they where sent there to do. They need to get along so that they don't get in fights and want to leave.

    Verstehen- I choose verstehen because if I was in there place I don't think that I would want to be there. I think that they are doing a really good job of how they are working together. Except for Taylor and her team if I was the green team I would be really mad and upset with them because it seems that they are always doing there work for them and they shouldn't have to do that. I feel like the green team should get to be the cooks and that the yellow should have to do the dirt work. But if the yellow team did do the dirty work it probably wouldn't get done.

    Power- I choose power because I think that the counsel is doing a really good job. Except for Taylor I feel like she should not be apart of the counsel or she needs to step up  and help out she needs to push her team because the whole yellow team is lazy. I feel like Sophia should take Taylors spot because she helps out a lot more and if I was there I would not want to have to listen to Taylor who doesn't even help with anything.

Miley

Not this Wednesday but next Wednesday I am going to Miley Cyrus's concert with my sister Morgan. I can not wait I think that it will be a lot of fun. I have been to one of her concerts already in 3rd grade and I had a lot of fun then I also went with my sister then and my mom. I can't wait to see her again and get another t-shirt and poster. Her last concert was awesome so I can't wait to see this one!

Dear Mrs. DeBolt,

           Hi I'm Amie and I like pandas. I might not be here tomorrow, Thursday, Friday I don't know witch day but I'm only missing one of those days because my cousin past away yesterday morning. I have 3 sisters Janene, Shannon, and Morgan. Janene is married so I also have a brother in law and a niece that they had last year.

           My niece is 10 months old her name is Adaly I was really happy when they decided to name her Adalyn because I told them to name her Addie. I get to see her very weekend and mostly throughout the week. She is about to start walking witch makes me really happy. I can not wait for this summer with her it is going to be so much fun.

           I really like your class I didn't think I would but I enjoy it a lot. I really enjoyed when we did the background it was a lot of fun. I think that we should do more things with PowerPoint. I didn't think Id do good in this class but I am so far witch makes me happy. I like that we can listen to music in your class. I hope that I can be in your class next year.

Do video games make kids more violent?

I think that it depends on the game that they are playing. If it's a violent game then yes I think that it could make a kid more violent. However if it's a game without violets in the game. I don't think that it would make a kid violent. So maybe parents shouldn't get their kids video games with violets to avoid their children from becoming violent.
