                                               If you could visit any place in the world, where would you go? I would love to go to Greece or Italy to see all the beautiful sights and see the beautiful landscape of the hills. In Italia I would visit the Collusion and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. In Greece all I would do is walk around taking pictures of the beautiful landscape and try to learn to speak Greek. Maybe I would sit down in a restaurant and read one of Aesop's fables, he was one of the great Greek writers. In conclusion, I would love to go to Greece or Italy when I grow up.                                                                                                                                                                                        

Being Unique

If the US believes everyone should be special and Europe believes that being ordinary is OK for everyone, I agree with the US  because if everyone is was ordinary and not special, that would be boring. The US mean that everyone should have their own opinions or wear what they feel, not be the same as everyone else in the country. Europe feels that everyone should be ordinary, not different by a lot, but most of the time be kinda, sort of like everyone else. Just imagine everyone in your school or in the country agreeing on one thing, like who the president should be. If we all agreed on one thing or around the same agreement, then we should all be one person. That is how I think Europe feels, but the US think we should all be unique in our own why and not copy anyone. That we can be free of who we are.                 

The truth about boys and girls

Remember when you were younger and boys and girls always had to do everything different. Well, now in middle school we still think some boys and girls can not do what other people can do. Like girl can't play sports or video games as well as boys. Also that boys aren't as smart as girls. Well, in my opinion boys and girls can be just as equal. Girls can beat a boys high score in a video game or win a champion ship in a sport. Some boys can beat a girl in a spelling bee or even get an As in all classes. Boys can do many things girls do and girls can do many things that boys do.

I would pick Wonderland because of the amazing adventure in Wonderland. I would love meeting the Chesire Cat and the Mad Hatter too. The other place I would pick to go though would be to Neverland because I would never want to grow up and stay the way I am now. I'm just saying this, I couldn't pick between Neverland or Wonderland because I'd love to go to both!

If I could bottle up ONE memory, I couldn't pick, I would bottle up so many thing I would have one million bottles. If I could I would bottle up every Saturday morning my uncle came up stairs and told me good morning, all into on big bottle. I would also bottle up last weekend when I went over to my best friend Carolyn's house to spend the night. I would also bottle up my 3rd and 7th grade years too. In conclusion, I could never pick just one memory, I pick a lot.

A Big Change

Over those 8 years a big change happened, IPhones and IPads were invented. People used to just listen and remember what others said, but now people can record the speeches on their IPad and IPhone. Or maybe they could just go onto YouTube and search the concert or speech.  I think this is a bad change because people could just go onto the internet and search the big event instead of going to the big event themselves.

My name is Maddie Westmoreland and I like to travel around the country. I've been to many states, but one day i hope to go to Greece or Italy with my sister. We've gone to Florida, Michigan, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, etc. I've always loved music. If there was no such thing as music, I would probably die.

For my job, I'd love to be an orthodontist. I decide i wanted to be an orthodontist when I had my braces put on because my orthodontist inspired me. My a few other jobs i want to be are a zoologist or a sign language teacher. I would love to help out with animals or teacher the blind to talk with their hands. I would love to have one of these jobs, and a few more too.

I love computers, I use one everyday. When I was younger my dad taught me a lot about computers. He showed me how to restart the computer by pressing  control, alt, delete. Actually, I find out something new about my computer almost everyday. My mom also showed me how to jump from page to page by pressing a few keys. In conclusion to this paragraph, I love computers and know a lot about them.

She was stuck in a world of black and white. Everyday every thing was the same...just black and white. She walked off to work just as she did every day. Staring at the black asphalt as it passed below her feet. She let her head fall in sorrow looking at her white shoes. As she came home one day, something blue caught her eye. She thought she was going crazy. Everything in this world was always black or white. Something blue was unthought of unheard of. In fact she was curious as to how she knew what blue even was. She walked to the spinning flower in her garden. Her lifeless and colorless garden. She scooped up the flower and stumbled inside. Adrenalin making her heart race. She thought she was losing her mind staring at the colorful flower. She didn't know what to do should she tell someone of her newfound finding

Darccus

I walked to the valley, just as I did every night. I brought the substance that i made. my darccus crazed this randomly made substance it seemed to almost change his mind. Every thing about him his different when he drank it. I wanted to stop giving to him, but he was to powerful. He would eat me if I stopped. I knew he never would though he was mine he was my pet, he trusted me. He was a powerful beast, he can breath fire. He protects me, and I protect him from my father. just a little taller

I was lead to a room. The room was not wide, just narrow. Along one of  the long walls were 7 doors. All looked exactly the same, except the last one it was slightly taller. It was hard to notice unless you were looking for a difference. Which I was. I looked back, the man who had lead me here was gone. i walked to the door. My clammy hand wrapped around the knob. I took a deep breath, with one motion opened the door. I was greeted by an empty nothingness. I walked in the door I was engulfed by pure black, my heart thudded, and my hands trembled. I fell, in a hole, my hair rushed against my face. I reached my hands out to try and stop myself but the hole was too wide I couldn't reach the sides. My scream echoed though the hole. I slammed against the ground. I stood wincing in pain. I walked toward the open side of the hole. I saw light, but just a little. I sped up hurrying to get out. "i'm late i'm very very late" i heard a voice say loudly behind me. i heard thumping, it was getting louder. A white rabbit came up to me, stopped next to my feet then kept going. I followed the rabbit. There were people sitting at a table drinking tea. "Happy un-birthday" a man in a hat said to me. i knew i was in wonder land , and i was glad i had chosen this door. There was something amazing about this door, and I loved it.

Ok, so I am a REALLY big fan girl of a lot of things. "Hunger games", "Lord of the rings", "The walking dead", "Teen wolf", so if you can't tell i'm rely wired, but I love being a fan girl. I read all of the hunger games books in 1 week!!! I have seen all of the Lord of the rings movies including the cartoon version of "The Hobbit", and the Real version of "The Hobbit". I have seen all the episodes of "The Walking Dead" twice in color and black and white. Christmas was right around the corner, and Old man Kinly  was all alone again. Old man Kinly's wife died 10 years ago. He never had any children. Old man Kinly didn't have any  family and was always alone for the holidays. Old man Kinly was 67 and he was a carpenter. Every day the kids on the street saw him mope to his truck and leave for the day. Old man Kinly's routine never changed and was very boring. The kids felt bad for him so this year they were going to help Old man Kinly. The kids saved there money for two months. Two weeks before Christmas the kids bought a Christmas tree. The Children wrapped the tree in tape measures small wooden ornaments, and small plastic tools. The topper was a little toy truck that the kids painted to match Old man Kinly's truck. When Kinly got home from work the kids brought him the tree. His face light up with gleam. His smile was so bug and amazing Kinly put in his front window for the entire neighborhood to see. Kinly was never mopey again!!!!

I was awoken in the middle of the night. To my dog barking wildly at the window. When I looked out, there was a face looking back at me. He had a mustache. and grey hair. He wasn't old though. I motioned for him to leave, but he didn't. He then reached down and grabbed a sign and held it to my window. "i need help my wife left me i have 3 kids and no job." I went to the kitchen and got food and water bottles. i handed him the items.he smiled and walked away as the happiest man i'd ever seen. I was happy to help him and went back to sleep peacefully.

I'LL BOTTLE UP THIS MEMORY

I think I have brought this up before, but i'll do it again. My brother is in the navy, and I don't get to see him a lot any more. When he went to Florida for 5 months I was in tears. I think it was hard on us because 4 months before he went into the navy. He quit his job and lived with us for 4 months straight. Then when he left it was weird not having him around. If I could bottle up a memory I would bottle up the day he came home. The day I got to see him was one of the best days of my life. If  it was possible for me to have this memory forever without it getting stale or faded. I would open it the days before he would come home again, and the days he left again. I would do this till the day he was home to stay. The day he came home to stay would be like an anniversary. I would open up the bottle on that day every year. I would also open it on the day he left that would be an anniversary as well. If I could bottle up a it would be this one.

soccer

Most people don't portray me as a soccer player, but I am. It's the BEST sport ever. I play defense and midfield. The last 2 years I've played for north west, but this year I am playing for a Festus team. Its also an all girls team instead of a co-ed. I play soccer in the fall. last weekend

Last weekend i got to see my brothers!!!!!!! My oldest brother is 27 and he is an x ray doctor . My second oldest brother is 24 ,and in training to be a cop. My last but certainly not least brother 23 is in the navy. He is still in basic training, but is moving his way up fast. I'm very proud of him. While at the same time I miss him a lot, and wish he could stay home longer then a week every 2-8 months.

Eli(my brother in the navy) was born on Halloween, and I was always jealous of him because my mom would always make him birthday cakes but none of her other kids got home made cakes!

2005-2013

Between 2005 and 2013 there have been a lot of changes. Especially all the advances in technology. I saw a picture that on one side had a crowd in 2005 and in 20013. The pictures were of different people at the same event. in 2005 everyone was standing and watching the stage, however in 2013 almost everyone was holding a phone or ipad or laptop. Taking a picture or video. Also every one was more dressed up. Suits  and dresses were being worn by a lot of people. The person taking the picture must have had a better camera or phone because the quality of the photo was a lot better, and showed detail in a much more clear view.

There has been a growth in the numbers of human eating Venus fly traps! They have begun to take over Skid Row. People have started to lock them selves in their homes, worried that they might get eaten! We MUST turn our attention toward this on going problem.

In order to solve this problem I suggest we stop paying females to sing in the rain, or at least stop buying water proof spray to put on their dresses. Technology Class

This class is probably the best technology class i have ever had since ive been here in 4th grade. What i learned in technology class is that i learned many different things about computers but i still don't understand what some of the techniques the computer has. What i like about thios class is everything because i get to be myself kinda. And do the projects and still have fun and it isn't hard. What i dislike about this class is the vocabulary worksheets. I had alot of fun in this class and won't forget about it.

There are many things i like about school. Some things i don't but most of it i do. The things i like about school is that we have lunch alittle early. I like that we have lunch alittle early because sometimes i don't eat breakfast, which the most impotant meal of the day. I also like the fact that we can have um in school and chew it. I think we should have H.O.T. sheets because there kinda like threaten kids alittle. Like that when you dont't do your homework, u get a H.O.T sheets. There are so many things i like about school but i ran out of time.

What Im Doing Today and Saturday

What im doing today is going to go get my hair dyed by Mcenna Hurst's mom. I can't wait until later tonight. Saturday Im goiong to do saturday is that im going to sing with the select choir im in. I honestly am really excited for Saturday because not only am i going to sing in the morning at a public place, im also going to do cookie booths at wal-mart for Girl Scouts. I am really excited about that, too.

Which Door Should I Go Through?

I walk into a room that is blank and i see nothing. All i see is these doors. But i wonder, which one should i go through? I'm afraid if i go through the wrong door, i might not be able to find my way back to the blank room. I will take the first door: Narnia. I will take this door because i would i like to see what it is like. I have read soome books but i have also seen some movies about Narnia. I am going through Narnia door. Hope i can find my way back!

They Took Everything Except This One Odd Thing!

They took everything in my house. Except the one thing that means everything to my family. They didn't take our picture of my family that i got my sister for her birthday. Why didn't they take it? Could this be a clue that we will probably never find out why? I have tons of questions they need to answer and i bet they will know them. The police will probably find who it was and i think i have a idea who it is. But who would want to not take it?

How I Am Going To Spend My 4 Day Weekend

I am going to do many things this weekend. I am going to my dads for the whole weekend. What i am going to do when i get there is jump on the trampoline with my little brother and sister. Then we are going to McDonalds for dinner. After we eat, we are going to come back and go to bed because my borther and sister have school tomorrow. Saturday i am going to make a video of my litttle brother and sister sing. Sunday, i am going to go to singing practtice. And monday,i am going to go to 54th Street for dinner. And thats how i am going to spend my weekend.

What i am doing this weekend is going to my dads on Thursday night. On friday, im going to go swimming for a birthday party. On Saturday, I am singing a song at my dads work and its called "Rolling In The Deep" by Adele. On Sunday, im going to Church with my grandmaw, dad, sister, brother, step-mom, and other brother. Then Monday, im going to chill at the house.

Measuring Tapes

Measuring tapes help you measure all different types of things. It is very helpful because if you are getting something new and it's pretty big, it will help you to see if it will fit in your room or your house. I like measuring tapes because they help me when im trying to see if something will fit in my room or the living room. You should never play with them just for fun because if you do, then you will get hurt because there is this metal thing at the very bottom and it can hurt you.

My Cats

I love my cats so much. I have three cats and their names are Boots, BabyKitty, and last but not least, Buddy. Buddy loves to play with your feet and crawl on your face when your sleeping. Well, let's just say the other cats.... not so much. Buddy is still a baby, but boy can he bite! Boots and BabyKitty like to sleep, and on occasion.. they will sometimes play. But every once in a while. Boots and BabyKitty are grown up. They aren't babies anymore, but they still act like it. I love my cats sooo much. And iknow they love me.

My Memory

One memory i wish that i could bottle is an important memory.  That important memory is when i lived in Florida and went to the beach with my family and we got see dolphins coming out of the water! Crazy, right? But it happened and i wouldn't lie about something like this.Anyways,the reson why it's important, not only because we got to see dolphins, we swam, i helped my little sister learn how to swim in the ocean they have. I would like to open this bottled up memory every month. I love my family.

Volleyball

I really love playing volleyball. I used to play volleyball when i was little, and so did my mom, grandmaw, and aunt. It went through my family, Volleyball is a blood sport in my family. It went on from my moms mom, my moms moms' moms, you get the point. I am a champion at volleyball. I never really tell any of my friends because some of them don't like playing sports. Most people don't. I like volleyball alot because it gives me something to do during the summer. I really, truely love volleyball and i wish i will be able to play this year.

Martin Luther King and Veterans Day

I think that is a good idea because Martin Luther King  has always been where we are off school. I think we should have and always have school on Veterans Day because you won't know what Veterans Day would be right now and you wouldn't understand what it means. I think it's a good idea that district is making us go to school on that day because all that time we are at home sleeping or whatever, you could be learning at school and get smarter. That's why i think we should go to school on Veterans Day.

Newton Town Shooting

This story is about a boy who killed his mother, the teachers, and 6 and 7 year old kids. This story is going to be on PBS kids.org in about a week or so. It is all over the news and still is today. This shooting took place in Newton Ementary School. Alot of adults are still scared to bring their children to school because of the shooting. I just hope it doesn't get any worse. My thoughts and opinions are that i can't even believe what he did. Millions of people where worrying about their chirldren going to school and afraid that it will happen. Just to tell you, my mom was worried to let me go to school, and i don't even know why. Nothing like that has happened ever, in alot of years.

Sports

I really love softball so much. I started playing softball 3 years ago. I wish i had started when i was little but we didn't have the extra money to spare because my dad wasn't going to work at the time, only my mom was. I watch baseball because it's similar to what softball does and i can learn to do alot new things from watching baseball. I love both of those sports. But i also love volleyball, basketball etc... I am a really active person when it comes down to sports.

I love your class alot. I have learned alot about computers and other things since i have been in your class this quater. I have darkish brown hair with blonde in it, i have green/blue eyes and i love school. Some stuff about computers are kinda confusing but the rest is really easy and what i already know.

The vocabulary words are really easy. I have been studying my vocabulary words and i finished my paper on them. I really love your class so much. I am so looking forward to beeing in your class next year, too.

I used to be a really slow typer until i got here. I am a really fast typer now. I still have problems using the home row keys. But i'll get used to it and it will be easy. I really love this class,i truely do and i wish i could saty in here all day.

As I look in the mirror,i see nothing just a beautiful teenage girl face  What i see is just a plain face thats a little pail, nothing excting. But she is soooo beautiful.

Softball

Softball is really alot of fun, exspecially when you have softball games in the summer because you go out to eat and get ice cream or something when we are done with our games. It's a great experience when your team wins because most of the time your proud of yourself and your team. I really love softball and i think it is so much fun. when the season was over, i was very sad.
